The range of goods being sold in Clarifoil window cartons is vast: from pasta to perfume, from shirts to chocolates.
Window cartons display their contents to best advantage on the shelf, thereby generating sales. But windowing film quality is crucial. Crystal clarity, high gloss and excellent scratch resistance are required to enhance consumer appeal.
Equally, the packaging manufacturer needs a film which bends around corners without stress whitening, which retains desired tension as the board expands and contracts in use and which minimises dust attraction. When the package contains moist foodstuffs for chill cabinet displays, the film should be breathable, allowing moisture to escape without "misting" of the window. Cellulose diacetate film has these characteristics, giving it a clear edge over PLA and PET films.
To the machine operator, security of cutting, gluing and processing at high speeds is vital. The film should be available in gauges best suited to the particular carton, be fully food contact approved and be environmentally compatible with carton board.

Apart from clear film, coloured options are available, films with sparkle effects, or even films that incorporate your logo.
